These hyperlinkds represent all the reading responses I've accomplished, other than the mistaken identity "practie blog". They serve as an academic commentary on my beliefs, in relation to writing consulting. The first two reading responses form the basis of my tiny, yet budding, writing consultant view. I realize that the papers are an important part of the academic experience, and understand that grammar should not be the main point of contention. Then, after reading North's article, I came to the conclusion that a dysfunctional writing center is much like a circus. There's too much going on, and not enough true help flowing around. Politics outweighs helping the clients. Soon, I delve into why a peer tutor makes sense. This is definitely a big part of the writing center. The Center is based off peer help, so I for sure caught a break by agreeing with it. Finally, there is the main point in my search for a greater understanding of writing consulting: learning about the different movements, such as the social constructionist or the process-theory folks. Knowing these will lead me to know more about myself, for it reveals a small part of my character and how I view the world. Also, it would come in handy to have a style with which to tutor students
